Gallo Center presents a blast from the past!

  • June 18, 2018

Stanislaus County celebrates the past. Modesto inspired the classic nostalgia film American Graffiti because that history keeps its pull on us, reminding us of the pleasures of simpler times. A trip to Stanislaus County is a like a trip through time, a return to a quieter pace in our beloved, sun-drenched corner of California!
Just checked out these upcoming shows at Modesto’s Gallo Center for Performing Arts!

FRANKIE AVALON

In the 1960s, Frankie Avalon was the face of youth, a star in everything he did. The performer of pop hits like “Venus,” “Why” and “De De Dinah” as well as the male lead in almost all of the era’s classic beach movies like Gidget and Beach Blanket Bingo, Frankie Avalon was his era’s Justin Timberlake.
On June 10, he will be performing at the Gallo Center, bringing the perfect soundtrack to your summer getaway. Make it a date night that starts with a bottle of wine and ends with a barefoot walk along the beach!

JERSEY BOYS

The Broadway smash hit comes to Modesto! The story of The Four Seasons (Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi), Jersey Boys is an authentic trip back to New Jersey in the 1960s as these four young men become the superstars they were always meant to be! Featuring elaborate dance numbers set to The Four Seasons greatest hits, such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” this is a show that you can’t afford to miss! And with dates on June 22-24, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to join the celebration!
